I’m the daughter and granddaughter of immigrants who crossed the border in search of a better life. I’m forever grateful for the sacrifices they made to give me a future.
My grandparents and my father each built their own businesses, from upholstery to window tinting, showing me early on what it means to work hard, fight for what you believe in, and stay rooted in family and community.
Those lessons shaped everything about who I am.
This project speaks to me because I want to fight for my community the way they fought for me.
After 12 years in the beer industry, I’ve seen firsthand how this community shows up when it matters most. I know how hard the beer community fights for one another, and I believe we can do the same for those beyond our taprooms.
Hasta La Raíz is my way of showing up, for my roots, my people, and the belief that we’re stronger when we fight together.
